Dubbed by one industry peer as ‘the most proactive buyer in Hampshire’, Hudson has just had one of his busiest years yet.
In particular he has received more enquiries on properties in the £3 million region — a new area for Middleton, as the firm has traditionally sourced larger and more expensive country homes. ‘Clients often want to invest in flats in London or houses of lesser value in the country, he says. ‘We’re doing more and more of that now. There’s a bit more supply, it’s a good marketplace.’
With the firm’s client base expanding, discretion is key for a serious buying agent like Hudson, who is careful to make sure that his services without doubt add value to purchasers. ‘We don’t work for a lot of people,’ he says. His focus is on committed buyers: ‘That makes a big difference’.
He is proud of the scope of his services: ‘We find that a complete business is a very nice way to making sure that when they actually take the keys and move in, everything is as they should be and there aren’t any surprises.’
