Having spent 16 years at Credit Suisse, working his way up from a new boy with ‘no clients; just a phone, computer and a fantastic platform to work with’, to one of their top wealth managers, Patrick Wilson has now moved to Julius Baer as a senior adviser.

‘Initially, I built my client base through targeted prospecting of entrepreneurs, as well as a focus on top corporate executives,’ he explains. The focus on relationship management and client work – rather than only on investments – is an apposite one for someone who values human connections over everything else.

‘Private banking for me is all about building relationships,’ Wilson confirms.
