Nicole Scherzinger is worth a reported £5.5 million.

Born on June 29, 1978 in Honolulu, six-year-old Scherzinger moved to Kentucky. She majored in musical theatre and provided backing vocals to Days of the New, in 1999.

How did Scherzinger use her major to become a millionaire singer?

In 2001, Scherzinger came into the limelight as lead singer of girl band Eden’s Crush — established on the show Popstars. “Get Over Yourself”, the band’s first single, stood eighth on the Billboard Hot 100.

Robin Antin and Ron Fair founded The Pussycat Dolls in 2003, with Scherzinger, Melody Thornton, Carmit Bachar, Jessica Sutta, Ashley Roberts and Kimberly Wyatt. After singles for the films Shark Tale and Shall We Dance? in 2004, their 2005 breakthrough best-seller “Don’t Cha” ranked second on the Billboard Hot 100 selling six million copies. Then came the debut hit album PCD and the chart toppers, “Stickwitu” and “Buttons”.

Scherzinger featured on Diddy’s “Come to Me” (2006), her first solo top-ten single on the Billboard Hot 100.

In 2008, The Pussycat Dolls’ second album Doll Domination ranked fourth on the Billboard 200. Overall, the group sold 54 million records.

Scherzinger wrote and featured in the pop version of AR Rahman’s song for Slumdog Millionaire called “Jai Ho! (You Are My Destiny)”, in 2009. The song topped in 17 nations.

Scherzinger’s debut solo album Killer Love (2011) reached eighth on British Charts, with “Don’t Hold Your Breath” topping the Charts and “Poison” and “Right There” shooting into the top three. She was chosen to judge The X Factor US that same year.

In 2012, after acting in Men in Black 3, Scherzinger became a judge on The X Factor UK, mentoring her act James Arthur to victory.

She returned as judge on The X Factor UK in 2013.

In 2014 Scherzinger signed a deal with RCA Records for over £2.9 million. Her second album Big Fat Lie entered the British Charts at 17, with “Your Love” peaking at six. Singing solo, Scherzinger sold 16 million records, while 20 of her career singles attained top 20 on British Charts.

Starring in Cats (2014-2015) earned Scherzinger a nominated for theLaurence Olivier Award nomination.

Her endorsements include Herbal Essences (2012-2014), British Airways (2013), Missguided (2014) and Proactiv+ (2014).

Scherzinger, who owns a $95,000 Mercedes GL350 CDI, a $200,000 white Bentley Continental GT and a $140,500 black Mercedes Benz SL 63, lives in a Hollywood Hills house purchased in 2006 for $2,165,000.
