Mark Dolan Net Worth

By Suren Prasad

British comedian, TV host, writer and participant on The Jump, Mark Dolan’s net worth is under review.

Born in Camden, London on March 17, 1974, Mark Dolan went on to study at the University of Edinburgh. His comedic personality began taking shape when he began performing in The Improverts, the famous improvisational comedy troupe.

How did Dolan rise to fame?

Dolan’s relationship with the media started through radio, as a radio producer in the mid-1990s at talkRADIO, BBC Radio 5 Live, talkSPORT and LBC.

In 2000, he began performing as a stand-up comic and stood runner-up at a stand-up competition called So You Think You’re Funny. Thenceforth he has never looked back, with worldwide comic performances to his credit, including the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, where he has appeared for over a decade.

He returned to radio in February 2014, with the multiple-platform streaming topical comedy show Mark Dolan Eats The News. Dolan also appeared on Channel 4’s web series Taxi Gags.
All this apart, Dolan became more famous as host of the comedy game show Balls of Steel (2005-2008), globetrotting documentaries The World’s…and Me (2008-2010), and Comedy Summit: The World’s Ultimate Prankster (2011)—all three on Channel 4.

Dolan soon authored a book titled The World’s Most Extraordinary People and Me (2010), penning a follow-up to it called Do You Mind If I Put My Hand On It (2012).
However, The Richard Taylor Interviews, Channel 4’s hidden camera comedy series is considered his big break, where Dolan goes about interviewing unwary aspirants in the guise of a lunatic boss for an imaginary position in his firm. He also presented the Mad Bad Ad Show on Channel 4 and hosted 35mm, Sky 1’s flagship film programme, for five years.
Launching two channels, E4 and More 4, Dolan hosted the comedy programme Show Me The Funny on the former and the topical chat show The Last Word on the latter (the channel’s debut show).

On Christmas Day 2014, Dolan won the show Celebrity Come Dine With Me and co-presented TLC’s comedy panel show If Katie Hopkins Ruled The World (August-September 2015).
Dolan has also appeared in TV’s Greatest Detectives (Channel 4), The Cars That Made Britain Great (Channel 5) and The Best Of Bad TV (Channel 5). Recently co-hosting on The Saturday Show with Gaby Roslin, he is also expected to star in the new Channel 5 comedy series The Funny Thing About.

It is likely that the world of documentaries will also see his return with Mark Dolan’s VIP Lounge, an exclusive series that shows him meeting a fascinating, strange and fantastic set of people that includes a real life vampire hunter and a human mermaid.
Presently, he is one of the participants on the fourth series of The Jump—Channel 4’s controversial winter sports entertainment show set on the slopes of Austria, which began on February 5, 2017.
Contesting with him are stalwarts such as Sir Bradley Wiggins, Kadeena Cox, Spencer Matthews, Louis Smith, Emma Parker-Bowles, Robbie Fowler, Josie Gibson and Jade Jones.
