Family Law Rising Stars
Since joining in January 2017, Luned Rees Williams has become an important figure at Camilla Baldwin. She was plunged ‘straight in at the deep end’, conducting a case in the High Court, with the formidable Fiona Shackleton on the other side.
It’s a measure of her ability that she emerged from this baptism of fire uncharred. ‘We’re good at giving practical and tactical advice,’ she says, demonstrating the ‘quiet confidence and reassurance’ for which her colleagues praise her.
Rees Williams is well versed in the family affairs of HNWs and already has considerable experience in prenups, postnups and big money divorces where ‘the level of wealth goes beyond imagination’. Clients have included the heir to a well-known Greek shipping family and the director of one of the world’s leading insurance and re-insurance brokers.
Rees Williams is also passionate about reforming the law to a ‘no-fault divorce’ system, a change she is pursuing through her involvement with Resolution, with whom she is an accredited HNW specialist. ‘It’s disappointing that that’s still the law because it doesn’t set a very good tone for the rest of the proceedings. We need to move forward,’ says Rees Williams, who proudly completed the London marathon last year in an attempt to expend some of her boundless energy.
