Veteran TV personality, famous for roles in Gavin and Stacey and EastEnders, and the oldest participant in the 16th series of I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! Larry Lamb’s net worth is still under review.

What has Lamb done to earn him fame and fortune?

Born to Ronald Douglas Lamb and Jessie White on October 1, 1947 in Edmonton, Middlesex, Lawrence Douglas “Larry” Lamb began working in his parents’ fish and chip shop making tea. After his parents divorce, 10-year-old Larry went to work in his uncle’s waste-paper business then shifted to Germany selling encyclopaedias.

Sliding into the oil industry, Lamb travelled to Libya and Canada and while attending St. Francis Xavier University in Antigonish, Nova Scotia, Canada, Lamb became actively engaged in dramatics. Touring with an acting company and living “hand-to-mouth” he performed at Canada’s Stratford Festival (1975-76).

Back in England, Lamb began with small roles on the TV series The New Avengers (1977) and Hazell (1979). He soon got regular roles with Fox (1980) and Triangle (1981-83). His roles for TV include: Minder (1984), Christopher Columbus (1985), Fratelli (1988), Pursuit (1989), A Little Piece of Sunshine (1990), Lovejoy (1992), Get Back (1992), Doggin Around (1994), The Wimbledon Poisoner (1994), A Touch of Frost (1995), Our Friends in the North (1996), Annie’s Bar (1996), Supply & Demand (1998), Taggart (1999), Midsomer Murders (2001), The Bill (2004-05), Murphy’s Law (2005), Silent Witness (2006), Loose Women (2008-10), Men About the House (2010), The Wright Stuff (2011), Rome: The World’s First Superpower (2014) and New Tricks (2015).

Lamb’s famously known for his performances in Gavin & Stacey (2007-08) and EastEnders (2008-09). At the British Soap Awards (2010), Lamb was awarded Best Villain.
His autobiography Mummy’s Boy was released in 2011.

Lamb’s film roles include: Superman (1978), Superman III (1983), Flight to Berlin (1984), Underworld (1985), The Great Paper Chase (1986), Hearts of Fire (1987), Harry’s Kingdom (1987, TV movie), Buster (1988), A Little Piece of Sunshine (1990, TV movie), White Goods (1994, TV movie), The Missing Postman (1997, TV movie), Essex Boys (1998), The Blonde Bombshell (1999, TV movie), Deadlines (2004), Blood: The Last Vampire (2009), Rose, Mary and Time (2012, short film) and The Hatton Garden Job (2016).

He also appeared in The One Show (2009-13), Britain’s Got More Talent (2012), This Morning (2012-13), Strictly Come Dancing: It Takes Two (2012-14) and TV’s Nastiest Villains (2014) and the theatre plays Filumena (1978), Making It Better (1992), The Sisters Rosensweig (1994) and Butterfly Kiss (1994). Lamb had his own regular Sunday morning radio programme in 2013.
