Since June 2011, Richardson has been team captain on 8 Out of 10 Cats (Channel 4). That same month, he got his first book It’s Not Me — It’s You! published. He began appearing regularly on Stand Up for the Week and took over as host after Kevin Bridges’ departure, presenting until 2012. He has been appearing regularly on 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown since 2012.
A little Bit OCD, a documentary he hosted in 2012, won the 2013 Mind Award. In November 2012, Richardson’s first stand-up DVD Funny Magnet was released. The following month, he toured Louisiana along with Sean Lock to experience the lifestyle and local culture on the Channel 4 show The Real Man’s Road Trip — Sean and Jon Go West.
After headlining the V Festival in August 2013 and the late 2013 event Work in Progress, he went on tour with his new act Nidiot, in 2014.
Richardson lives with his fiancée, comedian Lucy Beaumont, in London and also owns a house in the Lake District.
