Top Ten Tax Accountants
‘The role is exciting, challenging, and rejuvenating – but also very demanding,’ declares Greg Limb, KPMG’s new head of private client.
The gregarious Limb has since spent untold hours sifting through a voluminous amount of data relating to UK tax’s ‘watershed period’: the non-dom reforms. ‘We all survived,’ he says, crediting the firm’s ‘fantastically blessed’ network of services. ‘What amazed and delighted me in equal measure was the strength of our team across the whole national space.’
The former HMRC man – who specialises in advising entrepreneurs, international HNWs and family offices – operates in a landscape of ‘tremendous wealth creation’, from green technology to fashion and retail industries. The highlight of the past 18 months has been his leadership with KPMG Enterprise, a platform servicing highly entrepreneurial clients.
‘We have made a huge difference: our focus on growing middle-market businesses – both locally and internationally – is really helping us get to the core of new wealth creators,’ Limb says.
He takes Spear’s through a typical week: ‘It’s everything from the mechanics of growing the business through to a real technical debate with HMRC and life-changing matters for clients and families. It’s also about spending time with clients to better understand them and the issues they face.’
Limb’s interests outside work include travelling, cheering on Leeds United and Pilates.
