Give the people what they want. As long as they paid their millions, they were happy to hang; does it really matter if the art wasn’t what it purported to be?

To think how many fakes are matriculated into the system, all stickered-up with evidence of museum, auction house and gallery provenances boggles the mind. Oh, oh, oh, I love your Campendonk.

There are no losers when it comes to fake paintings or orgasms. The forger/faker gets the benefit of a satisfied customer and that much less to worry herself about (a man is incapable of faking something that comes too easily), and the opposing party gets the self-satisfaction of a hunter after a kill.
