Tax hotshot David Nelson’s approach encompasses three overlapping elements: to establish trust, to think long-term and to solve clients’ problems.

Nelson joined Dixon Wilson in 1984, and has since acquired broad experience in advising HNW families and businesses on their tax issues, with particular expertise when it comes to advising landed estates, offshore trusts and UK residents who have retained a foreign domicile.

A partner since 1990, he has significant experience acting as a trustee and non-executive director, with clients in both the public and private arenas. Sectors include media, hotels and hospitality, insurance and training, while trusteeships include landed estates and other diverse business interests. Nelson was senior partner until 2018 but now takes a more active role in advising clients.
