Spear’s Review

Overseeing $30 billion in assets under management, Stanhope Capital is one of the world’s largest investment advisory firms. Founded in 2004 by Harvard alum and former UBS banker Daniel Pinto, Stanhope counts the world’s wealthiest families and entrepreneurs in its client books.

In recent years, Pinto has led the firm through significant mergers and acquisitions that have amplified Stanhope’s global presence across HNW markets. Its merger in 2021 with US based FWM Holdings — which manages the wealth of the Forbes founding family — secured Stanhope’s position as a leading investment adviser to clients across both Europe and the US. ‘The two firms have exactly the same DNA,’ Pinto says.

Founder of FWM, Keith Bloomfield, now sits on the board of Stanhope alongside Pinto and other notable figures including Sir Martin Sorrell and Lord Browne of Madingley, former head of BP oil group.

Stanhope — which used to oversee the £538 million investment portfolio of the late Queen — is now looking to further increase its presence in Europe. In late 2022, Pinto announced that the firm would merge with Luxembourg-based Arche Associates, an advisory firm that has $2 billion assets under management.
