First up, on the diary front, and a must attend event for those who follow our Property Index, is the “Big Hitters” Charity Property Cricket event on 30th June 2016 at London’s Hurlingham Club in aid of Bowel Cancer UK, run by Imperial Blue Finance. Imperial Blue – run by Tom Harries and his brother Jamie from Upper Brook Street (just by Le Gavroche) – are one of the fastest emerging boutique ‘alternative property finance’ bridging outfits.
The cricket match will be a property investor network world dream — featuring World XI, a gin tasting room and Pimms bus, throughout the day. The event – supported by the likes of the Jamaica tourist board and Jake’s Hotel in Jamaica – is being billed as ‘the finest cricketers from the world of property against the finest ex international cricketers’. Henry Blofeld from Test Match Special will be commentating and a VIP table of 10 with a celebrity cricketer thrown in will cost a firm £2995 (Which includes a rum-fuelled Jamaican after-party).
