Muse launch
Amid chests pinned with white or black rosettes (white for diamond-fanciers, black for oenophiles), Johnny Goedhuis and Martyn Downer squared off over one of the most important questions of the age: not who's going to win the election, but what's better - the vine or the rock?
Johnny, chairman of Goedhuis & Co., spoke for the vine and Martyn, of art advisors Corfield Morris, spoke for the rock in a balloon debate at the launch of Muse, a new arts and luxury division of PR firm Gong Communications, at the Simon Dickinson Gallery on Jermyn Street last night. Unlike a diamond, the room was easily split, with both Johnny and Martyn making convincing cases.
Muse, which is dedicated to the arts, antiques and luxury sectors, is run by Freya Simms, most recently Director of Arts and Antiques Fairs at Clarion, and has already won several notable clients: Butchoff Antiques, Bond Street Culture & Heritage Week, Goedhuis & Co., Kensington Church Street Antique Dealers Association, LAPADA Modern, Made.com (Brent Hoberman and Ning Li’s new venture in modern furniture design), and Yves Frey Diamonds.
