Harrods Fine Watches
Pictures from the event held in the Fine Watches Room at Harrods to celebrate the Luxury of Time supplement, produced by Spear's in association with Harrods. You can read the supplement here.
There's shopping, and then there's personal shopping, but neither came as close to engaging the exacting shopper like the Spear's reader event in Harrods Fine Watches Room did last week. Fancy learning more about the watch you're after? Why, it's very maker is on hand to talk you through its finer points. Curious about a particular brand? Win the chance to visit the world-renowned factory itself.
Over 250 guests did just that (although just the one lucky individual won the trip in question) on Wednesday 2 December at Harrods' Fine Watches Room. Enjoying champagne, Courvoisier cocktails and delicious canapes in the kind of harmony unknown to stores in London in the run up to Christmas, guests were romanced with rare beauties never before seen on display, educated on mechanism and movement, and teased with fast-selling, limited edition collectibles that, on a normal day, remain safely under lock and key, even in this room.
With the Swiss in attendance remaining uncharacteristically chatty as the night wore on, it was only when Harrods itself closed for the day that guests made for the door, where each was handed a goodie bag packed full to bursting with delectable and jealousy-inducing... Well, that would be telling. You'll simply have to attend the next one to find out.

Q
I have been reading in the press recently that if you are not a UK citizen it is going to become more difficult to divorce in the UK. Is this true?
A
It is a fact that in recent years there has been an increase in ‘forum shopping’ divorces and London has been described as the divorce capital of the world.
