Red or white with your sarnie?
Which meant I drank at lunchtime every day for a fortnight. And it made the return to work even more of a culture shock. No glass of wine – or more like, no cold beer, no white wine, no red wine, no vin santo and then no grappa.
Cakes for the Eye
Regarding the stiff, sugary edifices of Mich Turner's spectacular cake creations, one gets the feeling that this baker isn’t awfully comfortable with the yielding, sensuously uneven flesh of naked cake. These cakes are layered up, buttoned-up, fastidious.
Harrods Georgian Restaurant
On entering to the sounds of old world favourites, from the elegant grand piano, the majestic Art Nouveau Georgian restaurant situated on the fourth floor of Harrods is in a time of its own. The name originates from King George V since it was opened the same year as the coronation in 1911.
All in good taste
I personally have never been a vociferous proponent of organics. I’ve seen how companies have exploited the label for commercial reasons. Diver-caught this, lovingly-slaughtered that.
Capital Idea!
Since 2003, when it received its second Michelin star, the Capital Hotel Restaurant has captivated its staunchly loyal customers from near and far. Well positioned in the heart of Knightsbridge with Harrods, London’s most luxurious department store a stone’s throw away, this discreet and personal dining room is a gastronomic indulgence for French food lovers.
Yauatcha
Yauatcha takes up the ground floor and basement of Richard Rogers Ingeni building in Soho. The winner of a Michelin Star in both 2005 and 2006 and the Moet Restaurant Awards, Yauatcha is a sophisticated yet superb concept of the tea spa, making dim sum more accessible.
