Spear’s will be partnering with groundbreaking design and antiques fair Masterpiece London to host an exclusive breakfast debate to mark the opening of the Fair on 30 June.
The debate, to be chaired by Spear’s editor-in-chief William Cash, will explore the Cyril Connolly quotation, ‘The more we read, the clearer it becomes that the true function of a writer is to produce a masterpiece and that no other task is of any consequence,’ in the context of how artists and craftsmen create masterpieces. Cash will be joined by an illustrious panel of design experts and industry insiders, including Masterpiece London chairman Thomas Woodham Smith.
Spear’s subscribers can enjoy the lively debate over breakfast in the pop-up Le Caprice, which will have been custom-built within the Fair, before perusing Masterpiece London’s extensive exhibitions. Places are limited; contact emily.rookwood@spearswms.com to express your interest.
