Guardian: £430m paintings stolen from Paris museum
Five paintings worth €500m (£430m) – including masterpieces by Pablo Picasso and Henri Matisse – have been stolen from a Paris museum, French police said today.
NYT: Picasso fetches record $106.5m
A painting that Picasso created in a single day in March 1932 became the most expensive work of art ever sold at auction on Tuesday night.
